About Envision®
The Envision Sustainable Infrastructure Framework is quickly becoming globally recognized as a highly credible approach to sustainable, resilient, and equitable infrastructure. In 2021 the Canadian Society of Civil Engineering (CSCE) endorsed the framework as the go-to for sustainable infrastructure in Canada and partnered with the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) through the Envision Canada partnership.
The framework is supported by the Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) designation—an increasingly important credential for any professional involved in capital infrastructure. Whether you work in public or private sector; in design or construction; or on capital projects in transportation, water, wastewater, waste, energy supply, natural infrastructure, etc. the credential training orients and equips professionals with the base knowledge needed to use the comprehensive Envision framework as a tool in advancing the sustainability performance of their capital projects.
About the ENV SP Training
The ENV SP credential training is designed to educate candidates on the Envision framework and is maintained annually through engaging in a wide range of credential maintenance opportunities. After completing the training, candidates will understand how Envision works, how it can improve the sustainability of their projects, and be able to undertake a basic assessment of project sustainability.
ENV SP candidates are required to complete the official ENV SP training and pass an online self-paced exam. Completion of the training is a prerequisite for taking the exam and examination fees are included in the training fee.
